Over the years, we have had the good fortune of working closely with each of these remarkable producers. Today, it is an honor to share a glimpse at their stories and a few of their lovely wines with you!
You can order the wines by clicking the links below and they will be delivered to your home or place of business in just a few days. We hope you feel inspired to try something new!
Heidi Schrock Pet Nat 2019
Burgenland, Austria | Heidi describes the region: “south-facing vineyards in a softly rolling landscape form an amphitheater around Rust on Lake Neusiedl, bringing forth some of the best and most tradition-rich wines in Austria. Yearly hours of sunshine are much higher than the Austrian average. This, combined with sandy soils mixed with clay and high calcium content, provides the ideal prerequisites for impressive, full-bodied wines.” This Pet Nat offers delicate bubbles and flavors of crisp green apple and mandarin orange. A wonderful place to start your introduction to Austria, as well as this style of bubbly!
Bodini Rosé of Malbec 2019
Mendoza, Argentina | Jimena Lopez has been making fine wine for over twenty straight harvests in seven countries including France, Germany, and California. She is passionate and dedicated with a tenacious drive and unmatched attention to detail. This is a bright and clean Rosé of Malbec with aromas of fresh red fruits like cherry and strawberry and subtle notes of spice and pepper. The palate is balanced and medium-bodied. Try it with brunch foods like mushroom quiche or strawberry topped waffles. Yum!
Maysara 3 Degrees Pinot Noir 2018
Willamette Valley, Oregon | A genuine sister act, this remarkable Biodynamic winery is run by the three Momtazi sisters with the eldest, Tahmiene, acting as winemaker. Intriguing notes of fresh earth, oak leaves, and pepper are woven together in the initial impression of this wine. Lifted, verdant tannins give it a firm structure, showcasing a characteristic spiciness. Be sure to let it breathe before tasting!!
Varvaglione Primitivo di Manduria Papale Linea Oro 2017
Puglia, Italy | As the winery celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2021, sisters Marzia (pictured) and Francesca Varvaglione are proud to take over the family business. Together, they work to maintain tradition but also innovate. The color is an intense ruby with rich aromas of black currants, blackberries, cherries, cocoa and licorice. It is lush and round with a long, velvety finish. The grapes for this wine are harvested from the oldest vines on the estate – between 50-90 years old - and aged in a combination of French tonneaux and American barriques for about 12 months. Perfect for grilled and roasted meats, game and charcuterie. Fun fact: Primitivo is the same grape as Zinfandel!
